Arctic Focus works to amplify important Arctic stories and ensure they’re told by those best suited to tell them.
Our collaborative platform, hosted by the Arctic Research Foundation, aims to foster interest and education about science, culture, and Arctic issues, while also offering a platform for Northern-based creators and writers to publish their work.
*All contributors are required to sign a contributor contract outlining general expectations.
We welcome pitches for stories deeply rooted in the Canadian Arctic. Though we also consider stories from other Arctic regions, our primary focus is Canadian regions.
We prioritize stories that incorporate Indigenous perspectives wherever possible. Our areas of interest include science, community, art, history, and other topics related to the Arctic.
When sending your pitch email, please include a brief bio about yourself. Let us know where you're based, what your interest or connection to the Arctic is, and why this story is important to you.
Please also attach a resume and samples of your work so we can understand your background and experience. This information helps us learn more about you and your unique perspective on the story you're pitching.
