- Post your photo that shows what you love most about the Arctic to your Instagram feed. The contest runs from May 1st to May 15th.
- Add the hashtag #MyArcticContest in the caption.
- Our team will pick our top 5 photos and post them to our Instagram story on May 19th. Then you can vote, by liking your favourites. The submission with the most likes wins!
The winner gets a $200 Visa gift card! Plus, the top 5 submissions will be posted to the @arcticfocus Instagram feed.
Official Rules
PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The Arctic Focus “My Arctic” Contest (the “Contest”) begins on May 1st, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on May 15th, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”). During the Promotion Period, entrants will have the opportunity to upload a personal photograph (collectively, a “Submission”) that best demonstrates what you love about the Arctic. The Promotion Period consists of a submission phase that begins May 1st, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. ET and ends on May 15th, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. ET (the “Submission Period”) and an online voting phase that begins at 10 a.m. ET on May 18th, 2020 and ends at 10 a.m. ET on May 19th 2020 (the “Voting Period”) during which up to five (5) finalists (each, a “Finalist”) will be selected from the eligible Submissions received and will be posted online for others to view and judge, as more fully set forth below. From these Finalists, one (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected, as more fully set forth below.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to entrants who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Officers, directors and employees of Sponsor, and their parents, and subsidiaries, (all such individuals and entities referred to collectively as the “Contest Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and/or people living in the same household are NOT eligible to enter the Contest or win a prize.
HOW TO ENTER: To participate in the Contest, you must have an Instagram account. During the Submission Period, upload your own personal favorite picture that best demonstrates what you love about the Arctic. Upload your Submission to your Instagram account with the hashtag #MyArcticContest (the “Hashtag”) during the Submission Period. Once you upload your Submission to your Instagram account using the Hashtag, you receive one (1) Submission into the Contest. Your Submission must include the Hashtag in order to be eligible. Your Instagram account must be set to permit public viewing of your photos in order for Sponsor to receive your Submission. The Submission must meet the following “Submission Requirements”: (i) the Submission must be the submitting entrant’s original, previously unpublished work and not feature or focus on any material owned or controlled by third parties (including without limitation, third party copyrighted material); (ii) the entrant must provide upon request all appropriate clearances, permissions and releases for the Submission; and (iii) the Submission must not include images that are obscene, pornographic, libelous or otherwise objectionable. Any entry featuring a Submission that, in Sponsor's good faith judgment, violates the Submission Requirements will be disqualified. All Submissions must be received by the end of the Contest Period. The website’s database clock will be the official time keeper for this Promotion.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: On or about May 16th 2020, a panel of judges selected by Sponsor (the “Judging Panel”) will select up to five (5) Finalists from all eligible Submissions received during the Promotion Period based upon the following criteria: Execution of Theme (e.g., best demonstrating “What you love about the Arctic”) (30%), (30%) for Creativity & Originality, (40%) for Photographic Quality (collectively, the “Judging Criteria”). Each Finalist Submission will be uploaded to Sponsor’s Instagram account (the “@arcticfocus Instagram Account”) where it will be made available for viewing by the general public on May 19th, 2020. From May 19th, 2020 through May 20th, 2020 (the “Voting Period”) @arctcifocus Instagram account visitors will have the opportunity to vote on the Submission they like the best. Votes for each Submission will be tracked by the Instagram Stories rating tool. Any “likes”, “shares” or other activity posted on the AF Instagram Account before the Voting Period starts is unofficial, shall not have any bearing on whether a Submission is selected as a Finalist and should not be relied upon for any purpose. Any entrant offering or using, or attempting to use a “cheat,” payment, or other incentive, or any other means to obtain votes will be disqualified and any votes earned by those means will be void in Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Submission that receives the highest number of votes during the Voting Period will be deemed the Grand Prize winner, subject to verification and compliance with these Official Rules. The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on the @arcticfocus Instagram Account on May 20th, 2020 and notified by Instagram direct message.
Prizes:
Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize is available. The contestant who was chosen as the Winner will be invited to receive the following prize (the “Grand Prize”): (1) $200 Visa gift card.
No cash alternative or prize substitutions will be allowed, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of comparable value if the prize listed is unavailable for any reason.
