Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week was taken by Matthew Gilbert of the University of British Columbia near his research site on Jayko Lake, Nunavut. Matthew was there studying Arctic char when this fox stopped by the camp to make a meal out of the remains of a fish.

Matthew recently spoke to CBC Radio about his work in the Arctic, part of which is supported by the Arctic Research Foundation through the use of one of their mobile science labs.
